Wed 28 Feb. Went up to Front Line to report to Col. Ordered to report for duty to Bn HQ at next move. Fine but misty day. Interesting front went with Kirkland & Clyne

Thurs 1 Marh. Went for a walk with M.O. by Chateau d'Acq - saw some Ger prisn coming in - Lt Maclean rejoined Bn - Celebrated my birthday in champagne at mess. Major Latta, Leslie MO, Hay, Meredith.

Frid 2 Marh With Major Latta & Meredith walked to [Ariane] Met Dickee Day Dump Lille Road & aftwds recd quarters in travel (Ecurie)

Mon 5 Mar. Some snow at night - Walked to Mt St Eloy with JM Ross & L A Wilmot - Huts at Le Pendu

Wed 9 Capt Leslie MO left us for 2. Genl Brown took his place.

Thurs 9 Bn marched in blinding snowstorm to Maison-Bouche Billets very poor - v. cold.

Frid 10 Mch. Brigade parade. Inspection by Premr Borden, Genl A. W. Currie A/ Corps Commander, Brig Genl Ketchen. Very cold. Had a talk with Genl Currie who invited Joe Bridgeman & myself to dinner
