2 Feby Snow winter culminated in blizzard beating all records, blocking all traffic, smashing buildings & drifting 10-15 ft deep. Mess House at Willows collapsed.
9 Febry Given command of a guard of 30 men wh. I took to James Id being relieved by Low & returning by Queen City on 18th all well.
