Oct 15 Ger. occupied Ostende.

Oct 17 Eng [sgn] cruiser "Hawke" lost in N. Sea

Oct 19 Four Ger. torpedo boats sunk by Eng nr coast of Holland with loss of 193 & 31 saved. Eng loss 1 officer 4 sailors.

Oct 20 Ger fr Tokio report that a Jap Kruiser " Takatschio" struck a mine & sank with 264 men. 1 officer 9 men saved. This is supposed to have happened in Kaitschan bay.

Oct 20 Toltie gets telegram during last night from Edith saying that she has safely reached "Christiania" from England, where she left on the 17th (?)

Oct 24th Toltie went to Berlin to meet Edith

Oct 25 Edith being returned from London via Christiania & Berlin at about 1.

Oct 31 "Reformation Tag" Holiday-

Nov 32 Gave Wilhelm 700m to deposit for me
