Septr 15. Sund. V. fine. Considerable shelling of ARRAS during the night. After many wanderings could find no horse in Arras nor damages in structure by shell fire. Divn preparing to move.
16. Order for move countermanded. Went to Adv Hqrs on bus with AA & QM
17. Bathing every day in fine large open swimming bath.
18. Entrained 5thBde at Acq. Detrained 6 Bde same place.
19. Went to see AA&QMG & 4 Bde refce A. Braush business. Maj Coleman & Capt Hickman moved forward.
20. 5th Bde FECM. 6 Bde FECM at Aquez les Duisaus
21. Both FECMs contd & concluded today
24. Col Spry & Col Rae returned from leave
26. Sat as member of FECM convened at Corps Hqrs at Duisaus on Rlwy looting cases. Tried 16. Had tea at 3rd Divn Hqrs ARRAS as guest of Maj Willoughby
28. Arras shelled last night & bombed. 105 casualties last night of bombing at Rlwy Sta. Adv. Hqrs moved across Laval du Nord in front of Sains lez MARDUION.
