Then to Dentist & to 5th C.D.B. Hqrs
Apl 23. Preparing to move. Engaged on special duty
24. Bn moved to support area.
25. To Hqrs 26th Bn Brebeucourt refer special duty .
26. Maj. Wilmot went out for operation leaving me O.C. Details.
27. Enemy took Kennel Hill .
29. Relieved 28th Bn in F.L. (self still on special duty).
30. Rode to CRE (Col. Osler ) at RIVIERE in connection with looting case
May 1. Fine. Central [illegible] Bellacourt. Lunch with C.R.E. - Saw quite a bit of Co. Mieville O.C. 6th Bn C.E.
3. 31st & 28th Bn put on raid through 29th - Bn relieved by 18th in F.L. - Details left out moved up to WAILLY. Took over 21st.
4. E.H. Daniel made Asst Adj. Staff went to A Co (Maj. WN Maclean) as 2nd i/c & Capt Meredith to L.C. as ditto. At request of Col Latta agreed that my seniority in Bn should be next after Capt OH Hepworth , OC Co (afterwards killed).
8. Went to F.L. (26:Bn) with Jabyll & scouts (Co) away from 5.20 pm to 1.30 am. Cause in for a strafe but said everything including outposts . Found Capt Tubbe commanding a Co in 2Gr
