Frid Aug 18 Inspected as a Brigade at Ouderdam by Sam Hughes. Went for a walk with Bridgman thro Locre & past Hyde Pk Corner. V. fine avenue.

Sat 19 Orders for France.

Sund 20 Division started on road march for St. Omer. Passed through Abiele - near there saw Corp'l Jno Greig CAMC attached to CAMC Sub Park. Reached our billet at a farm near Steenvoorde. V. comfortable farm house.

Mon 21 Aug Fine. Orderly off'r. Start 8 am. Fine view while passing over Cassel Hill at Zuytpeene saw Bill Rochfort. Signalling school. Passed thro Noordpeene & then halted for lunch at 12:40. Rather hot. Reached Merckeghem our billet by 5 pm. Good quarters.
