My dearest Mother
A delicious and beautifully packed parcel from you has just reached me. It contained licorice lovely soft face cloths sweets, pencils & nail files and letter pad. The pencils & nail files were I think from Zeffie.
Please thank her for them. We are in comfortable billets here amongst friendly folk and I myself am absolutely sound and well. I enclose for Lindley (for I know
