My dearest Mother
One of your wonderful letters arrived last night with a dear little envelope inside containing stamps.
This is the eve of your birthday, is it not? How well I wish you! What a joy it would be to see you for one minute.
My present work keeps me away from al risk and danger so you need feel no anxiety on my account. Thank you also for the little
