My dear Mother
I don't know when you will get this but I know it will be held by the authorities for some time.
We all arrived here Halifax safely without any casualty or any sickness & all in good spirits. The officers of whom there are a great number on board are in very comfortable quarters & we have a very fine ship so we shall no doubt have a perfectly safe and
