so much difficulty in carting stuff around or I might buy several of the smaller works of art here which not expensive considering their merit. For the same reason I shall bring back no souvenirs & no presents. To my surprise & pleasure I received a line from Miss Gore in New Zealand telling me of conditions there and how grateful she was to you for the kindness you showed her on leaving. She is a very thoughtful person whose thoughts are not always easy to follow.
