stick bombs & rifles - all the shelling nearly was on support lines & there was plenty of it there.

The news from home seems to be fairly good.

I have letters from you & Nell & mother. Mother notwithstanding her obviously failing strength is still wonderful.

Love to them all. I hope Fowkes & Miss Gore are the better for their holidays & that it did not rain all the time at Sol Duc & Cowichan Lake.
