Lydd 16 July 1916
Dear Lindley
I have $43.00 belonging to No. 3 Co. 88th Bn CEF. Carew Martin who commands the Co wishes me to pay it to the funds of the 88th Regiment.
Will you therefore give W.E. Oliver a cheque for this amount & charge my withdrawal a/c with the firm.
We leave here on 18th for the 30h Reserve Bn CEF at Shorncliffe where I stayed for Musketry School.
Harb & James are right at the front. The former commanding 2 machine guns - Howard & Horton have gone overseas (both K. in A.)
