III [Drawing] Town of Alberni arrived with the boats at our destination about 4 p.m. Where we unloaded, packed our things up on the bank and pitched our tents when we were summoned to the table - D'Hôte: eating heartily out of the tinware and feeling more comfortable under canvas at this time of year. We slept like tops until the gong announced that our night's rest was at an end and the work must be attended to.

Thursday March 31st Is spent grinding axes and testing the chain: cutting firewood for the cook.
