-16th Batt. moved back to Neuve Eglise - Called before Maj. Peck & Capt Morrison instructed to survey trenches - Chose Baxter as assistant - Moved down to dugout at Prouse Cor, drawing rations from Red Cross 3rd Batt. - Get a bullet thru hair while standing on Messines Road & arrested as Germ. Spies & halled before officers of 8th Battalion - Insult to injury.
