We have some nice churches in Seaford and I enjoy the services very much. We got up a [?] sometime ago and sang a piece at the Methodist church one evening. Now we are [broken?] up on [?] of the [demand?] calling men away. The surroundings of Seaford resemble Victoria in many respects. - The cliffs and waterfront are like Beacon Hill and the [Dallas?] [?] the golf links alongside our Reserve resemble those at Oak Bay. I sometimes think I'm back there again. [?], that [?] cannot come too soon.

Now I must close, or there'll be a danger of firing you. I shall always be glad to have a letter from you whenever the opportunity offers. The old stomping ground appeals to me as much as ever. Will you [?] remember me kindly to Miss Taylor and [?] other [engineering?] friends?

Once again expressing my very best thanks for your kind remembrance and with all good wishes for the New Year,

Believe me to be,
Sincerely yours
Ernest C. [Wilderspine?]
