My dear Dodie,

Thank you so much for your letter of Jan : 18th. You like addressing your letters to a different person[?] each time, c/o Admiralty this time, there is nothing like a bit of variation. Since you really want to know how to address them, here you are-->, if you like you may honour me with the rank of Lieut. Comdr, but that doesn't matter a bit. I do not mind what you call as long as I get your letters. Your letter cracked[?] me up no end as your father has aff[?]tly fallen on his jest and it makes me glad to think that you are looking forward to better times again.

I should like to have seen you in your Revu, it certainly sounds attractive as [?] [?] your dress, but from what I remember of you you would look charming in any old dress. (Butter). I seem to be as unfortunate as you do about sending
