III [Drawing] Town of Alberni arrived [? - roilte] the boats at our destination about 4 p.m. Where we unloaded, packed our [?] up on the bank and pitched our tents where we were summoned to the table - D'Hôle: eating heartily out of the tin- Ware and feeling more comfortable [under canvas ?] this time of year. We slept like tops until the gong announced that our night's rest was at an end and the work must be attended to.
Thursday March 31st [?] spent grinding axes and testing the chain: cutting firewood for the [cook ?]
