I knew young Gow, I last saw him alive

at quarter to two this morning in the

he was pulling a stringer up I saw some

coal dust falling & I called Young

Gow to come out, then a big case [?] of

rocks & coal came down & covered up

Yong Gow - then I called Yee Tuen [?]

to help get him out, & Yee Tuen & I

pulled the rock away & took [?] Young Gow

out, he was then dead.

I then got an empty car & took Young

Gow to the pit [?] head & called the line[?] boss.

The accident took place on No 1n [?] Stall,

2n [?] west level No 1 slope, No 4 mine.

I was helping Young gow to put the stringer

up - the side on which Young Gow was
