My name is George Kerr MacNaughton.  I am a duly qualified medical practitioner in and for the province of B.C.

I reside at [illegible].

About 8:30 pm on Sunday, April 26th, I attended an injured Chinaman, named Chow Wing, at the [illegible-same place as above] General Hospital.
+

+
The patient was lying on a stretcher, dressed in miner's garb with blood flowing freely from a wound in left thigh.
+

+
He was suffering from severe shock which I attempted to overcome by application of appropriate treatment.
+

+
Examination showed the following injuries:
+

+
1. Lacerated flesh wound 5" long in front of left thigh completely severing muscle and soft tissue down to knee.
+

+
2. Large lacerated wound on left side of head extending from lower [lat?-ock] of head and turning down whole side of scalp, exposing bone of skull.
+

+
3. Fracture and bruise of rt.[?] arm near shoulder.
+

+
4. Fracture left leg just below knee
+

+
5. Fracture of bones of left wrist
+

+
6. Bruise and abrasions on left shin breast, sides of body and face.
+

+
Assisted by Dr. Hicks I cleansed, sutured + dressed the wounds and applied only temporary treatment to fractures on account of his weakened condition.
