− | My name is George Kerr MacNaughton. I am a duly qualified medical practitioner in and for the province of B.C.

− | About 8:30 pm on Sunday, April 26th, I attended an injured Chinaman, named Chow Wing, at the [illegible-same place as above] General Hospital.

− | The patient was lying on a stretcher, dressed in miner's garb with blood flowing freely from a wound in left thigh.

− | He was suffering from severe shock which I attempted to overcome by application of appropriate treatment.

− | Examination showed the following injuries:

− | 1. Lacerated flesh wound 5" long in front of left thigh completely severing muscle and soft tissue down to knee.

− | 2. Large lacerated wound on left side of head extending from lower [lat?-ock] of head and turning down whole side of scalp, exposing bone of skull.

− | Assisted by Dr. Hicks I cleansed, sutured + dressed the wounds and applied only temporary treatment to fractures on account of his weakened condition.
