Contouring 28SW - 4 sheet map every 5 metres interval. Complete do. for Gen Bostock (Artillery). Evening at home - about an hour hammering away at French - the two ASC nco's call as usual. - Fine Mme Le-prevost had already altered my new tunic and wouldn't hear of payment. Intelligence Summary No 23. Air Reconnaissances: area between Lille & Upper Lys observed been 315 & 345 pm - Little seen owing to clouds - Exceptionally large amount of M.T. at Warneton. Situation quiet on all our front. Artillery: some desultory firing all along Canadian Corps Front. During the bombardment of 13th the East wall of Anton's farm was knocked down & no protection can now be obtained when passing through- enemy M.G.is trained on the opening.
