meals, etc. Have only the thin boots I had on when I left Barenfels, & they were soaked through when I arrived here, & have had no chance to dry.

Feb. 10. Wed. Sun shone again.

  "     11. slush & snow all day.

Received a parcel with some of the things I had left at Barenfels.

Feb. 12. Fri. Card fr. Tottie. Rained a.m. & fine p.m.

Feb. 13. Sat. Parcel sent by Tottie fr. Dresden, with food etc. Sunshine.

Feb. 16 Tues. Bad cold in chest and feverish. 2 cards from Tottie & 1 fr. Frau Pfotenhauer. Dark & wet all day.

Feb. 17. Wed. Heavy snow during last night, fine sun shine today. Feeling more fit. Card fr. T.

Feb. 19. Cards from T. & Mrs. Ludlow. Feeling sick with cold & feverish.

Feb. 20. Sat. Two new wooden Barracks, Nos. 14 & 15 finished

Feb. 21. Sun. Good concert in eve. Baron & Baroness von Taube
