Feb 6th Went to headquarters & reported there on to Avesnes to get money from the mess pay 13600 Francs. Paid men.

Feb 7th Motored with our Doctor Capt McMillan to Duisans with money for my other half Coy. Saw Mr Petersons - then we went on to a place called ENTRUM & MAROEUIL where my men work which is about a mile from the trenches, the place is blown to pieces by German shell fire, we went in the Church a dull old place & there were shell holes in it as large as a dining room. Motored back & brought Peterson with me & had lunch at Headquarters.

Feb 8th Very cold walked to Berlincourt busy in Orderly room.

Feb 9th Walked to Avesnes & had an interview with Capt Thomas on road's repair. Very cold. Interpreted & the Dr called & tour etc.

Feb 10th On roads all day - very busy - Sykes came to tea.
