Jan 29th Motored over to see Uncle Bish who is very ill - had a nice time under the circs

Feb 3rd Left London for Folkstone & France. Arrived at Folksone at 9 A.M. Went on board S.S. London & was told we could not go across on account of German submarines & mines - Hurrah? Went around Folkstone a very nice place went on board again at 3 P.M. I was told to report again the next morning at 8:45. Spent the night at the Long Ford Hotel went to Theatre in eve saw Daryyl Daght very good.

Feb 4th Left Folkestone at 9:30 A.M. arrived in Boulogne at 11 P.M. too late for up train spent rest of day & night in Boulogne & at Hotel De Louvre - went to cinema - saw Capt Bowey R.E.

Feb 5th Left Boulogne at 10:30 A.M. & arrived at Frevent at 7 P.M. Very cold & lot of snow. Arrived at Estree-Wamin about 8:30 P.M. Found Webb & Creight.
