I rcd your letter three days ago, but have been too fagged to write before. We have had a rather hard & hot time the last two or three days & today was about the cinch. I have seen a bit of shelling since I have been out here but today or rather this morning was the heaviest I have been in. For a solid six hours he kept at it steady & all big stuff scattered. You never knew where the next one was coming. We had some
