Hello Fred.

Arrived in England on the 1st Dec on the Saxonia (Cunard line) and had a very pleasant trip. I suppose you would see in the papers about the other Cunard line going down with 200 passengers. Well that was suppose to be for us. Our ship got the SOS signals. They passed us and 1½ hours after they got it. The night before we landed in Plymouth. We got orders That night to sleep with our clothes on and also Life Belts. There was some excitment on Board. We are just 43 miles from London. Fred this is some place for Rain been doing it since we reached here. Fred it is a big surprise to all. somethings here are dearer than Barkerville. I had supper down Town the other night. 1 slice of Bacon
