F. Tregillus Esq

Dear Sir.

I guess Barkerville is by this time beginning to wear its same dreary expression, which it always assumes in the fall of the yr & I expect the daily routine hasnt changed much since our departure except perhaps a little for the better by ridding itself of a car load of undesirables. Vernon Camp is to be honoured by a visit from the Duke of Connaught accompanied by Princess Patricia next Monday, & who's reviewing the troops well I hope only tend to hasten our departure
