the hospital in England and a fellow by name of Jensen who had a homestead near Quesnel got killed the same day though there were several others one Officer & men of our company there were only the two from up there all the boys are in good health & spirits though it comes hard some times but when one is in the trenches the time goes fast and one gets accustomed to the noise and it is sure some sight at night time it puts one in mind of some big celebration such as Dominion day or the Fourth of July everywhere one looks
