part of the Building which is wrong as I am alone with 80 men. 20 of whom are in a gang against me. Scobie & Holms are very active but sly members of the gang)

I found a sergent & told him my thoughts & also said if we are not quick they will slip him a wet coat we went back to the lines & as we got there I saw him receive a wet tunic. The sergent asked him if he was at the fire & he & others said yes & showed the wet tunic. Before I opened the tunic I told the segt the name of the man who owned it. On looking inside we found his name & number on it. After sergent had gone away he came up & as I was kneeling down with my pants nearly off took me by the throat & choked me after a wile into a state of helpness. Scobie had come up with the sweed & stood & watched it when I was about all in, Scobie turned & went away, then two English lads jumped up & after much effort got the sweede away. I then woke up Miniscia & Worth & arrested Mr Sweed or german & marched him to the guardhouse. This morning at the orderly room trial Scobie & a Fin from Stanly (E Sandholm) & two other Yanks swore I started it. When we got before the O.C. & he was proud of a L.C. who could not be put off & was smart enough to detect the tunic fraud & gave the prisnor 28 days in the cells (not C.B.) at one today time owing to the gang I was nearly under arrest the orderly room trial went against me, but the
