pay of Coy. Saw my men who are working between DEAD MAN'S Corner & the ARRAS-DOULLONS Road. Saw what was left of the Cathedral. Very busy all day. Sent photos to M. Shelled again at night. No damage done.

April 28th Walked to ARNEZ & on to WARLUS back to DUISANS & on to WAGONLIEU & back. Still nice weather. Again heavy firing. Saw Capt Jackson R.E. & Lieut Edmonds R.E. DUISANS again shelled only by duds. Wrote M. Weather changing.

April 29th Sunday. Very busy all day. Paid out in afternoon. Saw nice aeroplane fight. My C.S. M. & I both taken to be spies because we look above so much & talk to people who are my own men & go in & out to the General where some of them are repaving a road. And my Coy photographed about 220 including C.O.'s officers. A very clear night. Bought a German officer's revolver & dagger captured from a German officer at MONCHY by the Jocks. Wrote M & Jessie.
