The Canadian Scottish (16th Battn C.E.F.) 18 March 1915 Well Dodie old girl, jolly nice getting your long letter of the 27th. send me another one. I had heard about Ursula "Run [?] you wounds" Well my dear let me see if I can amuse you. Of course the letter will [?] with 'Is'. The ego is rather predominant out here. to start with the reason I got to Paris was because 8 of us officers were sent ahead as landing officers for the Division. We landed at Havre & then proceeded to another port which you probably know but we are not allowed to say.. Paris was enroute & believe me, 7 hours in Paris was good. so was I. The kilt is a great attraction both in Paris & also Nantes where I was. So much so that I was offered large sums by the
