Battalion drill & review before Gen. Babington & McDougall. First Canadian to have their buttons polished. Ranks were steady. Guiney wants to know where they keep King George; want to chaw the rag with him. Too much ceromonial & elaborate parade evolution. Canada represented by two bloated muskrats sitting on water lily pads eating black beetles & a cross mink labelled "skunk". Early British implements & weapons interesting .
