I understand visitors are never welcome at that house. Seems strange. I have not been to Victoria but intend to try & go next week if I can get a pass. So far I have not been able to get any pay or transportation. I was offered a 6 days pass to Cariboo but said it was no good. I dont see much sense in coming up the road unless I am free to stay there. Needless waste of my time & the Govt cash. I see so many men here not at work that I dont feel quite as keen to go to work on a farm (for the good of the cause) as I did.
