My maids take an awful time coming now and they came through here in a [?] [bag?] that goes all the way up to [?] where it is sorted and then comes down again; [?] get mine a [?] after they arrive [?] [?]. What do you think of the way they get off the men from the [P?] with only their [?]? It was a good bit of work. No one here seems to take much [?] in what is going on in France, I am not surprised, if only [?] knew of what is going on out here. I think that you will probably all be very much surprised before [?].
