− | we are at present on our way to Port | + | we are at present on our way to Port Said, from there it is not yet settled where, but probably out East. We are 12 days out from England today, & during that time have had one succession of very heavy gales, & torrential rain, have only seen the sun twice, so we are not feeling in the best of humours, but I suppose we must make the best of a bad job, & as we are due in Port Said in two or three days, must make a start at letter writing, in spite of the ship rolling her sides under; I always like to get the bulk of writing done before arriving in Port, as we are generally kept pretty busy there. |
