June 6th. Move camp today to other side of Little Lake and camp on most uneven land. A rock for a pillow also the same for a cold water bottle for one does. We left most of our supplies across the lake and only pack our blankets etc.

June 7th. Today we have to ascent a mountain 5000 ft above sea level to get to our work and many a tired limb comes back into camp this night. We have to walk among the snow all day being some 10 ft deep and although middle of summer our feet get so cold one would imagine it was winter.

June 8th. Move camp again to another lake on a hill 1000 ft above our last camp and hard work it is getting 70 lbs on that height. We get
