wants in the way of straffing at present & by 1919, I bet they will feel a pretty sick lot. The Russian situation looks more promising too. I'm not so sure but what some of father's Russkys may be in at the finish yet! The Canadians are in the thick of it again & are giving a good account of themselves as usual, I heard rumours that their casualties were fairly heavy, but nothing official has come out yet. It is wonderful the way it has livened up things here, since the Canadians have got into the line again, drafts are going off from the Reserve Bns. every night & things are moving in our own depot a good many officers have gone over lately, in the last two days more have been warned, & a draft of over men has been called for.
