on though otherwise just the same, troops, guns supplies etc coming up in great masses from the rear & we are all pressing forward doing long marches to take up our positions "somewhere on the Rhine." I don't suppose there's much chance of the Huns starting anything fresh when we get into their country but if they do I pity them. Personally I should like to see them try something on, so that it would give us a good excuse to raze a few of their towns to the ground, it will be a crying shame if all their towns are left whole. They should have a taste of what France has suffered for 4 years, so that the German people might realize what it is to be left homeless, etc etc!
