It is nice that such a good home has been found for him, but I rather fancy if the Truth had been known about the dog by Major Taylor he would have thought twice about accepting the animal! first of all you say he was nearly blind! 2nd He destroyed all the flower beds! 3rd he destroyed Dugald's car! 4th the condition of the cellar was not always as it should have been!! An advertisement on these lines would be apt to put one off purchasing the dog, but of course he was a gift!! There was always something rather nice about Blazes with all his faults though. I wonder what Heb will have to say about giving his dog away he should really be glad to know that he has a good home because Mai never cared a d- about the poor beastie! Today I was at church parade, I took another officer's place as he wanted to go up to London, he will take mine the next time. This afternoon I took a walk along the waterfront & had tea down town.
