Sep.1. most of the Eng. & Am. ladies are working on woolen things for the Red Cross. An American lady sent to the Am. Rectory a night shirt she had made for a soldier. It had Aus & Ger. flags crossed & embroidered on the left brest & a Red Cross flag similarly worked on the right side. Up to see Miss Cator in p.m. She is feeling very blue over a report published by one of the papers this a.m. that no more Ger. were allowed to come home from England, consequently no Eng. will be allowed to go home from here. Is this true?
