To be our turn, but it will be sooner or later. The men are splendid, quite cheery. I think when we attack they will do well, but it is very hard to say; if the Germans get their [illegible] on you, you have no chance to do anything - You would laugh to see us sometimes. When we go up at night the Germans send up big flares, sort of star shells - immediately you see one of them you all flop down and bury yourself in the mud, no matter how muddy, then wait until it's dark again.
