Mch - but just bought by Hon. Montague Eliot brother of Lt St Germains who is planning renovation. No trace of boathouse & only the [illegible] of bath house visible. A most beautiful site but inaccessible, walked back by St. Stephens.

6. Rain & later sunshine . After a little shopping left Plymouth & arrd London 4.45 pm. No more lunch baskets procurable [illegible] but only tea - saw Katie Spencer at Empress Club & had tea with her - Could not get in at Russell Hotel to see [illegible] of Figaro - Bright & trueful.

7. Dull. Caught early train to Ipswich. I hired bike & rode to Homestead. Walked to Pinmill with billy. This place is a free port & anchorage for yachts - Also boast the Best Oysters [illegible] a lovely place on the orwell.

8. Began in snow & ended in perfect spring weather. Geoffrey & I walked into Ipswich & lunched at the Club & walked home to a welcome tea.

9. Biked to Pinmill early & took photos.
