Sun 1 Apl. Wet. Our guns very busy. Enemy retaliation feeble

Mon 2 Apl Fairly Fine with some snow. Our bombardment heavy and continuous. SOS put up by D.Co about 10 pm. Result a very lively time for a while. Only 2 casualties - 2 1/2 " snow fall. All quiet by 11.30 pm.

Tues 3 Apl. Snow on ground Some heavy shelling at times.

Wed 4 Apl. Relieved by 22d Bn All shelling done by us until about 1 A.M. when enemy became alarmed & put on barrage causing us 4 casualties. Came out with Meredith at 10 pm. Camped in Bois des Alleux. The last came through about 6 A.M.

Thurs 5 Apl. Fine but cold. Bn resting & stragglers coming in
