We have nearly finished our voting which as you can imagine is carried on under some difficulty in trenches with men scattered all over the place on temporary or permanent working parties - men on courses, men on leave & men in hospital. Though the majority should be overwhelmingly in favour of the Government there appear to be about 10% in favour of the Opposition & another 10% who won't vote.

I had a visit from that chap Gordon Smith who was a war correspondent in the Russo-Japanese war & had some job in the Parliament Buildings. He says he is attached to GHQ in some capacity but I fancy it is an electioneering job.

Of course I am immensely interested to hear what you have to say about the Elections & especially your personal part of it. I only hope that your effects and expenditure
