out the pledge I took before I enlisted. It is wonderful to have been spared so long but with the Italian & Russian fiascos staring us in the face it is obvious that the exposure to danger must be much prolonged.
In the meantime I have health & strength & all my faculties.
Birdie writes to say that Dick & Doug Gull are staying at Frilsham which looks like a family reconciliation - a fine thing in these days of dissensions everywhere.
