As you know I took no active part though I was called up before the end of the show.

If there were time & writing were easier you should receive reams of description but not yet; there is too much else to do.

casualties were decidedly light - you can't imagine how some of the old [illegible] of this who endured are enjoying handing it back to Fritz now. No German was bayonetted this time so far as I know. Grenades of various kinds are very effective.
