in the surrounding country. Expects to be here two or three weeks so I shall see something of her as she returns to the Bowens.

Well there is little to write of here, it is just the same old grind, work like the dickens to send a pupil off "solo" and then see him go up and do everything he was told not to do and end up smashing the machine in landing. Fortunately about 95% of the "crashes" never even shake the man up, for otherwise we would be awfully short of pilots.

Since I last wrote I have recieved a cheque for $200.13, balance due on uniform allowance also a verification of my commission, which means that I am no longer on probation but a fully qualified flying officer and wear the wings on my left breast.

I expect to go to Toronto in a couple of weeks to be fitted for my uniform and while there will have a photo taken at last. I know you have been wanting one for a long time, but I think it will be nicer to have one of me as a "finished product" rather than as a cadet, don't you
