I think I have acknowledged everything which I have recieved from you, Mother dear, but you can't have got those letters. Yes, I have recieved the kahki "hank" and like it ever so much. Early in April came a tin of oatmeal cookies and they were certainly fine and not stale, though the postmark was dated February - very early. About three weeks ago came two pair of socks. They were the good ones you speak of without doubt. They fit excellently though perhaps a trifle long in the foot till they are washed. The light weight does excellently for summer wear. The University parcel I have never seen, so I am afraid it fed some post-office clerk. No Mother, thank you, there is nothing I need out here at the present. I have plenty of clothing and a good batman to look after my personal wants and we are supplied with plenty of good
