water rushing under you. Makes you feel as if you are going down stream. The only way to walk safely across is to keep ones eye fixed on the tree and not look at the water at all.

May 14th. We move camp to other side of river as trees may not be there another day as river is rising fast from the snow melting so fast up on the mountain.
