XXXI.

"James Brown resting. One of our packers."

May 10th. Raining hard all day we amuse ourselves in playing "Cribbage" and reading old papers, every few minutes, going to see how near our excellent cook to having the next meal ready. One is always hungry in the bush.

May 11th. It is too wet for the linesmen to go out but the packers ran to make their trip as we are getting short
