From 430 p.m. of -- to 7.30 a.m. of each day No. 68, Swannell B Co., has permission to be absent from his quarters as above for the purpose of Re. Letter from General F. Barkshire, Co. Col.-Sergt. [illegible] O. C. B. Coy. Rouscullin Maj, Commanding 88th Regt., V. F. (*A special description is only needed when leave extends past midnight or over Drill hours.)

Sunday 14th Feb

30th Battation left "Willows Camp" - Our platoon boarded "Adelaide" arriving Vancouver 7 pm - Menu card on board headed "Boys: It's a Long Way to Tipperary" - After being kept in rank on deck for an hour we went on the first train - Brewer, Emery & I in one Colonist Berth.
